Every shot the brief asked for. Before anyone hits send.

Open the brief as a workspace for the creator. They drop each take onto the shot it belongs to and can only submit once every required shot has a usable take. What comes back is checked against the same shot list — not a folder to sort through.

No account for creators. Processing on your machine, links on the internet. Footage stays yours.

How it works

One shot list, from brief to submission.

The brief is read once. That same shot list is the creator's filming checklist, what each take is checked against as it lands, and what the review matches footage to — so a shot can't mean one thing to them and another to you.

Step 1

Open the brief

A markdown or plain-text brief. Briefcase reads it once and turns it into a shot list: what to film, how many clips, how long, the exact line to say, and the rules that apply to every clip.

Ticks stay on this phone. Works offline — nothing is uploaded.

Step 2

The creator films from it

A phone-sized checklist for the shoot — one tick per clip, the line to say where they can't miss it, no account, nothing uploaded. Then the brief opens as a workspace: each shot tells them what to film and the exact line to say, and takes go straight onto the shot they belong to.

Complete — all 5 shots covered

Step 3

Review it and get it back complete

Every take is checked as it lands — vertical, length, audio, resolution — and submit stays off until each required shot has a usable best take. Then point the review at the footage and the brief: every clip is matched to a shot or set aside as unmatched, spoken lines are checked against the transcript, and the submission page says whether it's complete.

For creators

The brief, as a checklist you can't misread.

The brief becomes shot cards. Each one says what to film, the line to say word for word, and how long. Film it, drop the take on the card, pick your best one. Done means done — no "did I miss something?" email two days later.

  • Every take is checked as it lands — a landscape clip, a silent take where a line is required, a short take gets flagged in plain words, on that shot, right away.
  • Multiple takes, one best — upload as many as you like and mark your best one — that's the take the brand sees first.
  • Submit only when it's complete — the button tells you exactly what's outstanding until then, then a final review before it goes.
  • A checklist for the shoot itself — before any footage exists, the same brief becomes a phone-sized page: one tick per clip, the exact line to say, and it works offline.

For agencies and brands

Open it and know: is this complete?

Instead of downloading a folder of IMG_4471.mov and hoping, you open one page. Every required shot, what came in for it, and whether it passes. What's missing is already written in the words of the brief — ready to paste into your reply to the creator.

  • Shot-by-shot status — covered, partial, check, missing. Three sampled frames per matched clip, with the confidence and the reason for the match.
  • Ask the creator for — the missing shots, in the words of the brief, ready to paste into a reply.
  • Already have footage? Point it at the clips and the brief and Briefcase matches them up for you — and tells you what's not there.
  • Fix a match by hand — reassign a clip to another shot and the coverage and file plan recompute. Nothing is written until you press Apply, and Undo puts it back.
  • A submission page you can forward — one self-contained page per delivery. It leads with the only thing anyone wants to know: is this complete?

What you're not signing up for

It handles someone's footage, so it stays out of the way.

Creators never make an account

The checklist is one page on their phone and the ticks stay there. The workspace is one brief's shot list, with nothing behind it to sign in to.

The footage stays yours

A project is a folder — takes per shot, the brief alongside. Zip it, move it, leave with it.

Nothing is published by accident

Sharing a submission page is an explicit step, and it asks first — a page with frames of the footage on it is a public URL.

Bad clips fail early

Every upload is checked as it arrives. An unreadable file is set aside with a reason, not discovered after the deadline.

The brief goes in. A checked submission comes out.

Open the brief as a workspace for the creator, review what comes back against the same shot list, and see anything missing flagged before it is sent.
